The SFUSD Student Nutrition and Physical Activity Committee meets four times per school year, in the Irving G. Breyer Board Room at 555 Franklin Street. All meetings are from 3:30-5:00 p.m. and are open to the public. In 2010-2011, the committee will meet on October 7th (2010), January 6th (2011), March 10th, and May 12th.
The School Food Subcommittee of the SFUSD Student Nutrition and Physical Activity Committee meets as needed, usually 4 times per school year. Meetings are 4-5 p.m. at Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy, 4235 19th Street (between Diamond and Collingwood, about 2 blocks south of the Castro Street MUNI Metro station) and are open to the public. The first meeting of the 2010-11 school year will be in September on a date TBA.
The Customer Service Subcommittee of the SFUSD Student Nutrition and Physical Activity Committee meets from 4-5 p.m. in Room 910 at Fox Plaza, 1390 Market Street. This new subcommittee will focus on all aspects of the student experience of eating in the cafeteria except the food (which is the focus of the School Food Subcommittee.) Issues to be discussed include staff courtesy, ease of obtaining information, length of lunch lines, and other topics. All meetings are open to the public; students especially are invited to attend.
